The early Christian writer Paul describes the church as 'the body of Christ', and he goes on to say that every person has a unique role to play in the church and that every person is important.
We believe that! We believe that you are important. You are a wonderful child of God, and you have a place to serve through the missions and ministries of First UMC! Together we want people in Sikeston, Southeast Missouri and around the world to see Jesus in the way we live.
Missions
There are many great organizations and ways to serve in the Sikeston area. First UMC partners with a variety of organizations, including one of the great multi-church ministries born out of First UMC: Spread Hope Now!

All of our ministries are dependent on people like you serving! There are 4 ministry areas we are searching for new people:
