April 2, 2020 UPDATE

In the spirit of care and concern we are temporarily discontinuing in-person church gatherings. We know for many this is a time of pain, sorrow, frustration and fear, and First UMC is committed to offering hope and grace in the mist of an unsettled world. The scriptures are filled with stories of triumph through times of hardship and trials. This is a time to write our own chapter of perseverance.

Below you will find very practical steps we have taken to continue to lead us as a community – both those who attend First UMC & those who haven't yet come. I am convinced over the next few weeks some people will come to faith for the first time, and people who have never been a part of a church will in a radically different way. I want to encourage you to hold fast. Stand firm. Take courage. And commit yourselves to the practices that unite us: Worship, Growing, Serving, Giving, Inviting. We can still do these, they will just look a little different.
